This makes a very delicious alternative to the traditional maple syrup. If you are sensitive to honey, just choose a different sweetener. Sorghum, sweet molasses, maple syrup, agave nectar, corn syrup all make great alternatives. The secret is not to overdo it on the sweetening and keep it to breakfast only.

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese (or Neufchatel) warmed
  • 4 T Butter warmed
  • 1/4 to 1/2 C Honey
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla

  1. Blend all ingredients together in a mixer.

This is a delicious topping for waffles with some fresh strawberry slices or a cherry pie filling. This kind of gives the effect of a cheesecake for breakfast. If there is concern about a high sugar level, reduce the amount of sweetener used.
